Alrighty, when you position anything you should always set the left to 50% and then make a margin-left and use numbers for that like you do with the regular ole' left.

So it should look something like this: (for ex)
left:50%;
margin-left:-2 50px;

yea this is Insurmountable, I didn't mean to comment on your layout through this account. I'll look through your codes and see what I can tell you to do to fix the problem.
